What I did not know when I flew into Rio de Janerio, was that because I was a Canadian, I was already a highly qualified English teacher. I had very little teaching experience at that time, but was excited to be offered a job the day after arriving. After two months teaching in the interior city of Guatachingeta it was time to move on. I moved to the south of Brazil to a city called Florianopolis.
